You probably already know the basics of producing a good tone. But if you are having problems with getting the tone quality you want, consider adjusting a few things and see if you can hear a difference.
-What shape are your lips making? -Is there space between your teeth? -How much mouthpiece is on your top or bottom lip? -What is your tongue doing? Most of the experts we've talked to suggest: -Lips together, flat chin; like you're holding a straw -Always maintain space between the teeth -Mouthpiece 50/50 split between top and bottom lip -Tongue stays out of the way unless articulating (like saying "oh") Of course, air is a huge part of playing with good tone as well! Everyone is built differently, and there's no one right answer. Try some different approaches and see what works! Your setup can make a difference too, so keep your instrument in good working condition and consider trying a few different mouthpieces.
